A common chronic lung condition that can cause recurrent wheezing, coughing, and difficulty breathing. We help you understand and manage triggers like allergens or exercise, so your child can live life to the fullest.

We treat common short-term infections that affect your child's breathing, such as:

Common Cold (Viral Rhinitis): A mild viral infection causing a runny nose, cough, and sore throat.
Bronchiolitis: A viral infection often seen in infants, leading to inflammation and narrowing of small airways, with symptoms like wheezing and rapid breathing.
Croup (Laryngotracheobronchitis): An upper airway viral infection characterized by that distinctive "barking" cough and noisy breathing.
Pneumonia: A lung infection (viral or bacterial) causing cough, fever, and difficulty breathing.
Bronchitis (Acute): Inflammation of the large airways, often after a cold, resulting in a persistent cough.

If your child's cough lasts more than 2 weeks, it can signal an underlying condition like asthma or allergies.

This support may be needed for conditions like neuromuscular disorders which affects breathing due to muscular weakness such as spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)

Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs)

These tests help us understand how well your child's lungs are working, including:

Spirometry: Measures how much air your child can breathe in and out, and how quickly
Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO): Helps our specialists assess airway inflammation, often related to asthma

Specialized Tests

Sleep Study: If we suspect sleep-disordered breathing, we can evaluate your child through sleep study. We offer consultation services that may include oximetry testing and/or somnography.
Six minute walk test: Assesses exercise capacity, especially for cardiac and respiratory illnesses.
Allergy Tests: To identify specific triggers for respiratory symptoms.
Bronchoscopy: A procedure to directly visualize your child's airways if needed.
